Florida Lawyer Main Page Gary Butler is a Senior Litigator at Robbins Equitas and Managing Attorney of the Firm's Financial Institutional Law Practice Group. His areas of practice include banking law, construction law, bankruptcy law, and real estate law. Butler has been practicing law in Florida for 20 years. Before being admitted to The Florida Bar in 1986, Butler attended The University of Florida's Levin College of Law where he graduated with honors. He holds an MBA, also from the University of Florida. Butler's banking clients include federally regulated banking institutions. He also represents clients in the construction industries. Butler is a member of The Florida Bar's Business Law Section and he is on the Bankruptcy and Uniform Commercial Code Committee.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Hunter Chamberlin is the Managing Attorney at Robbins Equitas and a Senior Litigator. Chamberlin is a former prosecutor who worked more than three years at the Office of the State Attorney in Miami-Dade County. He has tried over 140 cases before the court, including approximately 30 jury trials for offenses ranging from DUI to Armed narcotics trafficking. Prior to his time as a criminal prosecutor, Chamberlin was an associate at Steel, Hector & Davis (now part of Squire Sanders), a global law firm with offices in over 20 countries. There, he worked as a legislative consultant for business and industry. Chamberlin is a member of The Florida Bar and serves on the Media and Communications Law Committee. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts. He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of law. There, he also served on the Business Law Review.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Dan Crowe is an associate at Robbins Equitas. He handles aviation law and regulation nationwide. He also supports the firm's litigation department. Crowe is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he obtained his law degree cum laude. He is also an Air Transport Pilot, a certified flight instructor, and an aircraft mechanic. In the Firm's aviation law department, Crowe provides legal advice and guidance on federal aviation regulations, develops op-specs for new aviation industry companies, and defends regulatory enforcement actions when brought by the government. He also files and enforces (and sometimes defends) aviation liens. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Crowe served twenty years in the United State Air Force, and directed maintenance on several squadrons of F-4, F-111, and F-15 fighter jets.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Rick Graves joined Robbins Equitas as a Litigator after nine years on the faculty of Stetson University College of Law. He holds a Master of Laws degree in Intellectual Property and another in International Law and Business. Before teaching, he litigated in Houston, where his practice areas included contracts, appeals, intellectual property, products liability, and insurance. He has served as a judicial law clerk to Federal District Court Judge Henry A. Mentz, Jr. in New Orleans, as a Master of the Judge John M. Scheb Inn of Court, and as a Continuing Legal Education instructor for both the University of Houston Law Foundation and the National Law Foundation. He earned his initial law degree from Tulane Law School, where he won all three Moot Court competitions for individuals, served as an editor of the Tulane Law Review, and won the Gertler Award for the best casenote of his Review class. His publications include the third edition of the Texas Bar's treatise on ethics, malpractice, and disciplinary procedure, for which he was Editor in Chief, as well as Globalization, Treaty Powers, and the Limits of the Intellectual Property Clause, for which he won the 2003 Charles B. Seaton award of the Copyright Society of the USA.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Oliver Janney is a managing attorney at Robbins Equitas. His areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, aviation, and corporate law. Janney received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1970 and his B.A. from Yale University in 1967. He is the former Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Uniroyal Technology Corporation, a NASDAQ company, and was previously General Counsel of RKO General, Inc., a major broadcaster and soft drink bottling company. Janney is a member of the New York State Bar, and The Florida Bar. He is an NASD dispute resolution arbitrator. He also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Serri Miller is a senior associate at Robbins Equitas and a business consultant. She is a former adjunct professor at Stetson University College of Law. Before her professorship, she was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Diane Vescovo, United States Magistrate Judge. Her areas of practice include business litigation, employment law, constitutional law, and federal court litigation. Miller is a summa cum laude graduate of Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad Law Center where she was editor-in-chief of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Prior to her work at Robbins Equitas, Ostman was a vice president of Security & Investigations Group, Inc., a Florida corporation specializing in the training and instruction of security professionals. Ostman has a background in forensic accounting. She is a cum laude graduate of St. Petersburg College.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Brad Patrick is a Senior Litigator in the Litigation Practice Group at Robbins Equitas. He is Director of the Firm's Technology Law Practice Group. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Patrick served as interim Executive Director and General Counsel for the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization which runs Wikipedia, one of the top websites in the world. Mr. Patrick has a wide range of civil litigation experience in the fields of intellectual property, internet law, software and computer issues, technology licensing, complex tort litigation and many other areas. Mr. Patrick's prior employment includes AV-rated law firms in Seattle, Washington and Tampa, Florida. He held positions in state government and with a publicly traded international software company. He graduated from Boston College Law School and Colgate University, cum laude with Honors in Political Science. Mr. Patrick is admitted to the Florida and Washington State bars, numerous United States District Courts, and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits. He serves on The Florida Bar Media and Communications Law Committee.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Eric Pinkard is a Senior Attorney and Litigator at Robbins Equitas. His areas of practice include corporate litigation, international law and business, and white collar criminal and constitutional defense. Pinkard holds two law degrees: a Masters of Laws in International Law and Business from Stetson University College of Law. He earned his LL. M. degree cum laude. He also holds a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law where he graduated in 1986. Pinkard served a four-year term as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County . He has also taught international law as a professor at Concordia International University. Following his professorship, Pinkard spent seven years as lead trial counsel litigating death penalty cases in Florida. Among other achievements, Pinkard has argued ten times before the Florida Supreme Court, including the Case of State of Florida v. Charlie Thompson, which resulted in a reversal. Pinkard has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1987.

Florida Lawyer Main Page Chris Robbins is senior counsel and director of Robbins Equitas. He is a former federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Tu M. Pham, United States Magistrate Judge. Robbins is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review. Robbins currently serves on both the admiralty and aviation law committees of The Florida Bar. Robbins is a writer, an instrument rated airplane pilot, and a public speaker. He recently prepared a lecture series for Chinese university students on subjects including law, American democracy, and entrepreneurship. Robbins' articles have been published widely in the U.S. and international press. His work has appeared in the New York Times, Miami Herald, Hong Kong Apple Daily, Tampa Tribune, and other periodicals.
